Plum Spice Loose Leaf Tea

The aroma of this tea is black plum with hints of currant. Once steeped, it fills the room with a wonderful spiced plum scent. Absolutely wonderful!

This tea is also beautiful! With black leaves, hints of red and purple flower petals and dried fruit.

The taste has a hefty black tea base, with a gentle black plum / currant top note that settles across the tongue and it hints a bit of tannin in it's finish. It can get quite bold/bitter if steeped long, this might be partly due to the mulling spices included in this blend, but a touch of honey brings it into a fuller flavour. Complex and exotic! A lovely sip! A hearty morning tea, or for an afternoon pick-up.

If you like the cranberry apple tea this is like the yan to it's yin: a bolder caffeinated black tea and spiced fruit, with more of a dark plum than a bright cranberry infusion.
